Lemon Crumb Squares (Toby Gottfried)

1---------->15 ounce can of condensed milk
1/2 cup ---> lemon juice
1 teaspoon-> graded lemon rind
1 1/2 cup -> sifted flour
1 teaspoon-> baking powder
1/2 teaspoon-> salt
2/3 cup------> butter
1 cup -------> dark brown sugar firmly packed
1 cup--------> uncooked oatmeal

Directions:
1) blend condensed milk/lemon juice and rind of lemon set aside (well mixed)
2) sift flour, baking powder, and salt
3) take a bowl & cream butter and blend in sugar
4) add oatmeal to flour (mix)
5) add oatmeal mix to butter mixture (use fork) -Should be crumbly-
6) Use an 8x12 x 2 (or 9x13) glass pan and Pack down half of mix on bottom for bottom layer
7) Spread condensed milk(mixture) on top
8) Crumble rest of oats mixture for on top


Heat at 350 until brown around the edges (25 minutes) Cool for at least 20 minutes- best if sitting in refrigerator.
